Sunday dinner was either at the Hanson house or the Martin household every Sunday.
"Everyone come sit down" Sarah called for everyone.
Sarah and Diana worked most of the afternoon on the meal. Cooking for 12 people takes a lot of work they are always glad when Kat and Taylor offer to help out.
"Thank you both for the helping hand today" Diana said to Kat and Tay.
"I love to cook" Kat said as she put down a basket of homemade rolls.
"Well I like tasting everything" Taylor added.
"Being on tour and everything you miss home cooking" Taylor said.
"I bet" Kat replied.
The room began filling with hungry children.
After saying the blessing the families shared another peace filled Sunday dinner.
Sitting back in his chair Ike felt full and very happy to have such a wonderful family and great friends.
"Tuesday morning I think we get to go on some kind of outing" Jessica told Taylor.
"Mom said that they had arranged a special science tour," Avery added.
"I hope it's not going to be first thing in the morning," said Kat.
"Yeah for our sake, I hope it's not either" Tay said with a smile on his face.
"And why is that little man" Kat questioned.
"Well let's just say there isn't enough makeup to cover that ugly mug of yours" Taylor said as he tried to out run Kat who had begun to chase Taylor around the family room.
Ike entered the room in time to see Kat and Avery sitting on Taylor who at this time was begging for forgiveness.
"Wow Taylor they got you right where they want you" Ike laughed.
Hearing the excitement Zac ran into the room and seen Taylor on the floor in what looked like a half nelson.
"Dog Pile" Zac yelled jumping into the fun.
"Zac you better not" Taylor cried out from the bottom of the pile.
Too late Zac joined in as Ike, Avery, Kat and Jessica pinned Taylor to the floor.
"Say your sorry" Kat told Taylor.
"Never!" Taylor screamed through his laughter.
Taylor's face began to turn red and having pitty on him Kat let him up off the floor.
"Oh man why did you let him up" Zac said disappointed.
"You let a girl beat you" Ike said to Tay.
"Na that's no girl that's Kat" Taylor said this time running out of the room.
"Jordan" Diana stopped Taylor.
"What on earth are you running for" she questioned.
"No reason mom" Taylor said as he walked really fast past his mom.
Chapter 26:
Monday morning began another day of school for Ike, Tay, Zac, Jessica and Avery.
"I will be so happy to get this math done" Zac said as he put his head on the table.
"Oh Zac, it's not that difficult" Diana assured him.
"Ok than you do it, because I am having a brain fart," Zac said.
"Zac please will you not talk like that" Diana scolded.
"Sorry" Zac apologized.
"Hey Zac I will trade you, you can do my Trig and I will do you division problems" Ike asked.
"No way" Zac answered.
"Let's have music class" Zac suggested.
"I can play the drums fairly well" Zac boosted.
"Gee Zac don't pat yourself on the back to hard" Taylor joked.
"Oh and like you're god Tay!" Zac teased.
"Back to your studies, boys" Diana said giving them a motherly warning.
"Ok now Zac let's just go over it one more time" Diana put the paper in front of Zac.
"Oh ok since you asked nicely" Zac said smiling.
Kat had just finished her book report and had a quiz she had to complete in history than she was headed out to see if Ike wanted to hang out for awhile.
"There I think I aced that" Kat said smiling as she handed the paper over to Sarah.
"I will let you know in a few minutes how you did sweetie" Sarah said taking the quiz from Kat.
Kat decided to hang around to see how she had done on the quiz.
"I think I will fix some lunch, mom do you want some lunch" Kat asked her mom who was correcting the quiz.
"No, thank you for asking though" Sarah replied.
Kat had just finished eating when Sarah brought in her quiz.
"Looks like you will be able to take the exam on Wednesday" Sarah informed her.
Kat called Ike to see if he was done with his work yet. "Ok when you done come over and let's do something."
An hour later Ike arrived at the Martin's to pick Kat up.
"Are you ready for some fun?" Ike asked as Kat got in the car.
"I am so ready" Kat said.
Ike decided to take Kat to the local inline skating sports arena.
Only an hour into the outing Kat was exhausted. They decided to call it quits for the night.
"I had a great time as always" Kat told Ike.
"Me to I haven't had that much fun in long time" Ike told her.
"Well we should get home, we have that museum tour tomorrow and Tay and Zac want to go over something regarding the band " Ike told Kat.
"I'm beat, sleep is the only thing I will be doing the rest of the night" Kat said smiling at Ike as they headed for home.
