"Ike can we go over the last 3 bars of that one again?" Taylor asked.
Zac seemed to be coming into late and throwing Ike off.
"Zac you got to do better than that!" Ike yelled.
"Hey man don't go blowing a bolt." Zac snapped back.
"Boys, please stop that fighting." Diana warned.
"One more time than we can break." Tay said.
Diana could feel the tension building in the room among Ike, Taylor and Zac, and she was sad because there was nothing she could do to make it better.
"Ok guys here we go," Tay began singing.
Kat wanted to stop in the jewelry shop to look at the necklaces.
"Mom, I was thinking about getting Ike one of these for his birthday." Kat told her mom.
"I think he would like that very much." Sarah smiled.
Sarah and Kat looked for the perfect one that they thought Ike would like.
"Yeah, I think this is the one." Kat held the necklace up in her hand looking it over smiling.
As Kat looked at the necklace things began to get blurry and for a second she couldn't see.
"Mom," Kat said in a panicked voice.
"What's wrong?" Sarah asked seeing the terror on her daughter's face.
"Mom I think we should go home I am having trouble seeing." Kat said as she reached for Sarah's arm.
They walked carefully out to the car.
Chapter 20:
Walker hung up the phone, "I think we can do it." he said as he turned toward Ike.
"Chris said there are going to be a few dates that we might have to stay in California for a day or two, but other than that we can fly in and out." Walker sighed.
"Great!" Ike said as he headed up the steps.
"I'm going to let Tay and Zac know!" he informed his dad.
"Tay where is Zac?" Ike asked Tay who was working typing something on his laptop.
"I think he is upstairs in our room playing with the Play Station." Taylor answered.
"Why what's up?" Tay asked curiously.
"Well, Chris gave dad the schedule and other than a few dates we are able to fly back and forth." Ike informed Tay.
"Great! See, God does answer prayers," Tay said.
"Well I am going upstairs to tell Zac." Ike said as he left the den.
Sarah sat Kat down on her bed. "How are you feeling now sweetie?" she asked.
"I am better now." she reassured her mother.
"It was just a little fuzzy for awhile, I think I am going to go lay down for a bit." Kat told her mom.
"Ok, your dad should be home soon." Sarah said as Kat headed off upstairs to lay down.
Feeling a headache beginning, Kat sat down on her bed hoping it wouldn't last long.
Sarah was checking the messages on the answering machine.
"Hi Jack and Sarah," it was Diana, Sarah could tell her voice she had that motherly concern.
Sarah decided to call her back to thank her for dinner last night.
Sarah picked up the phone and began dialing the Hanson's house.
